DULUTH, Ga., June 15, 2015 – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) continues to lead the world in self-checkout (SCO) technology, shipping more units in 2014 than all other vendors combined for the 5th consecutive year according to research published by strategic research and consulting firm RBR. NCR, the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, saw growth in key markets, including Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America.
According to RBR’s “Global EPOS and Self-Checkout Report 2015”, NCR also saw an increase in its share of electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) technology – including the #1 position in North America.

RBR expects ePOS and SCO shipments to grow through 2020. NCR holds the top position in SCO shipments to all six regions.
