Pride is important to me because it’s an opportunity for the whole community to come together and celebrate our progress over the years. Especially in today’s time, we do not want to go back. We want to move forward and continue to get equal rights.
I’m an Account Support Analyst for our Government Payments. Run the X is all about empowering our customers’ success with our world-class products and service. We do that with our government clients we provide great customer service, and we see the growth.
To the allies thank you for your support. Everyone has a different journey and to know that we are accepted and supported by a company is great. The fact we are doing a Pride Spotlight series show how far we have come.
Pride creates a community of acceptance and understanding. Pride is loving who you are and helping others to love themselves. While the world can be full of judgement or violence, Pride gives LGBTQIA+ members and allies the opportunity to band together and make a positive impact within communities.
I would like leadership to know that having United, and other BRGs shows their commitment to their employees well-being. It means a lot to be a part of an organization that is both customer focused, and employee focused at the same time.
Pride is so important to me because it provides a safe space for people to express their individuality. I have the opportunity to show my daughter that love is unconditional. She can be whomever and/or whatever she wants to be and that there will still be a place for her in this world. To not strive to understand, but to be compassionate, to the human experience.
I want everyone to know and understand that all people, no matter their details, deserve a chance. That human decency and understanding should be the building blocks and foundation of every interaction.
DE&I is very important to me as a whole. I was fortunate to be raised in and part of a family where DE&I is a core component of the family value system. Pride, in particular, has a special place in my heart as my personal community has grown over the decades to include not just family friends, but also family members.
I have been with NCR VOYIX for 33 years, all with IT Services. The IT Governance SMO team, that I am lucky enough to call “home” ensures operational excellence through the consistent “Delivery of IT Services” which simplifies the customer/employee experience.
This team is responsible for items that most are familiar with such as IT Central, Incident Management (used by the Help Desk when you call in with a problem), and many items that you don’t see which are essential to ITS’ ability to support NCR Employees and the tools/applications running NCR’s business. My particular specialty is within the IT asset management area.
There is no room for bias in our world! And there is always more to learn. Always ways to improve and grow. Learning and growth come from any number of ways and every one of us has a responsibility to be open to receive that. Most importantly, lead by example, every moment of every day. Model the behavior you expect from others consistently. While this may seem to be a small, simple thing to do; you have no idea the profound impact you could have on someone else.
I firmly believe that diversity makes us better at every level of our lives, within our families and friends, in our professional careers and as a society. Not just accepting differences in each other, but also learning from them makes us better and I believe that's at the core of Pride.
It took a lot of effort and I’m so humbled for those who have fought for these principles. For all those reasons we have to celebrate what defines each one of us and makes us unique and the fact that we’re all in this together, united.
Embrace diversity at every level of your life. When we listen to each other, learn from each other and accept each other’s differences, then we exponentially increase our impulse to greatness by benefiting from each other’s point of view.
