NCR Silver Pro Restaurant Now Makes It Easier to Manage Employees

Starting today, you’ll be able to display employee schedules directly on the point of sale – if you have NCR Console. It works the same as clocking in for the day or viewing the Silver Scoreboard, but now, you’ll be presented with the option to click “Schedule” on the home screen. With NCR Silver Pro Restaurant version 4.9, every employee or manager will be able to quickly view the current schedule on the POS in real time. It’s a useful tool for when you only want to check to see who’s scheduled to work the next shift, like when a replacement hasn’t arrived, or if you need to print the schedule for any reason.

Since schedules originate from NCR Console and are imported into the back office, you can view as many full employee schedules that have been created, and you can segment your view based on employee name or job code. 

 

New: Rapid Reprint


Does your business only print receipts by request? If not, it’s a great way to improve speed of service and reduce paper waste. And if by chance a customer does request a receipt, we’ve introduced a new feature to be able to handle the request with fewer clicks: the Rapid Reprint button.


The new Rapid Reprint button is a quick and easy way to print customer receipts faster. That’s because it lets you access previous closed transactions and “reprint” without slowing down the pace of business. The button automatically appears in between the No Sale and Ticket Discount buttons once you update your app to version 4.9.

Compatible with iOS 10+ only

Obviously, you're going to want to try these new features out for yourself now, but what if you can't seem to update, even after reading about how to use it? Don't freak out just yet, but you may need to update your hardware.

 

Unfortunately, not all Apple devices are powerful enough to support the latest iOS. And starting with 4.9, we are requiring all devices to be on iOS10 or newer software, which can sometimes require a newer iPad.     It’s important that you are on an up-to-date version of iOS so we can continue to push you updates and innovations quarterly. If you have iOS9 or an older version, you’ll be required to update your iOS first before upgrading to version 4.9.
