iOS 14-compatible hardware: All the devices that support NCR Silver
With any new iOS update, you may be wondering whether you'll still be able to use NCR Silver or if it's time to upgrade to a newer device. Not all Apple devices are powerful enough to support iOS 13, which is needed to operate the latest version of NCR Silver. iPad 4 and iPad Minis 3 and 4 are already counted out of testing because performance on these devices will likely continue to diminish.
Our most recent software updates help your device run more efficiently and even reduce transaction time in some cases. That’s why NCR has had a longstanding policy of supporting the current version of Apple iOS, one version back and any iOS device that supports these operating systems. After August 1, 2021, we will only support Apple devices capable of running iOS 13 and higher. Here's the official list of devices that will work with NCR Silver:

iPads:
iPhones (NOTE: iPhones are not compatible with NCR Silver Pro Restaurant):
iPods (NOTE: iPods are not compatible with NCR Silver Pro Restaurant):
If you're buying a new device from us, it'll come with the newest iOS installed. If you need more information, you can always call into support and we'll tell you if your device will be compatible with NCR Silver 5.5 or NCR Silver Pro Restaurant 5.5, which are now available for download.
It’s NCR Silver’s policy to support the latest iOS, one version back and any iOS device that supports these operating systems.
