Seminole Coffee House Brews Success with NCR Silver

“Every town needs a coffee shop and that was the one thing our small town needed,” says Paige Freeman, the owner of the first coffee shop in Seminole, Texas.

Mochachino Coffee House is a charming spot to sit down for a cup of coffee, chat with friends or read a book.

Since their recent opening in August of 2017, Paige has seen the opportunity that NCR Silver can provide her and her business. With little knowledge on point-of-sale systems and how they operate, she was first concerned that the system would be too hard to learn, but NCR Silver proved to be quick, efficient and easy to use.

“The system is very user-friendly. We love what it does and the possibilities it offers,” says Paige.

Small business, big aspirations

Although this family-owned business is small right now, they have big ambitions.

Paige says, “I’ve never done anything like this before, but I knew I wanted to own my own business and I love coffee and the atmosphere most shops provide, so I thought ‘why not?’”

This Seminole coffee house runs social media contests to keep customers coming back.

For now, Mochachino Coffee House runs most of their promotions, as well as contests, through social media. Monthly deals include sales on seasonal flavors and even discounts for wearing fan gear during football season (Go Cowboys!).

And thanks to NCR Silver, she’s not only able to track top-performing campaigns, she’s also able to track top-selling employees – whether or not she’s actually in the shop.

“My favorite part of the system is the ability to keep up with my reports and the time clock for my employees,” says Paige.

Soon they’ll be steaminling their payroll process by integrating their QuickBooks account with the system.

Take risks with NCR Silver by your side

To Paige, researching is an important part of starting a business. Her advice to other small business owners?

“Utilize your resources. Ask questions, and don’t be afraid to be curious and take risks. I went to various coffee shops and inquired about how things run and got vendor recommendations and it helped me,” says Paige.

Although her business is new, Paige has big hopes for the future and NCR Silver will be there to help her every step of the way.

She says, “We’re excited to see where NCR Silver takes us and the possibilities we’ll have with this system.”
