On October 18, 2016, NCR representatives joined Workers Credit Union to kick off the first ever “Digital Banking Day” at the credit union’s main office in Fitchburg, MA. The event was designed to help educate and involve all credit union employees on the various digital banking features currently offered by NCR (Digital Insight), as well as what new and exciting technologies are in store, thereby edifying a culture that embraces change and thrives on innovation.
Chris Saari shared, “As the Digital Banking Manager, my objective was to bring digital banking to the physical banking world. Our partner, Digital Insight, has been instrumental in helping us bring the two banking spaces together. The event was a huge success and are very grateful for our partnership with Digital Insight.”

Over the past ten years, Workers CU, with the help of NCR, has launched Mobile Banking Apps for Apple® and Android™ smart devices, wearable banking, biometric authentication, mobile payments, mobile RDC, new websites and many more enhancements to their retail, digital banking offering.
Looking towards completing their digital offering, we gave them a demo of our Business Banking solution, which offers an intuitive, simple and comprehensive platform for small business and commercial members to accomplish their daily business transactions, whether they be wire transfers, ACH credits/debits, routine transfers or account activity/viewing – online and mobile.

The day featured raffles, prizes, demos, discussions and, of course, food. What made the event especially invaluable was the direct access credit union employees were given to experts at NCR. Among those present from were Connie Drake, Relationship Manager; Derick Schaefer, Vice President of Engineering and Security; Jeanne Capachin, Business Banking Product Manager; and Joe Phalen, Relationship Manager. Workers staff were encouraged to actively participate in breakout sessions and networking activities by asking questions and providing their feedback about the current offerings as well as feedback on what they would like to see next from NCR Digital Banking.
Over and above decoration, solution displays were set up as well as a showcase, demonstrating the evolution of the Workers CU website from 1996 to 2016 – my, how far they have come!
