Over a year ago, members of the senior leadership team met with professors from Harvard Business School to discuss the transformation of NCR. The professors were interested in writing a Harvard Business School Case Study on the steps we have taken to reinvent NCR over the past ten years. We are honored that Harvard Business School was interested in the NCR story.
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Harvard Business School along with our CEO Bill Nuti and be a part of the NCR case study being taught in the classroom for the first time. It was a proud moment to watch as the professor taught the ‘NCR case’. Bill was also able to engage with the students and answer questions about NCR’s reinvention. From the reactions of the students, I believe this case study will be useful in helping future executives understand the steps that are necessary to transform and reinvent a global Fortune 500 company. We look forward to participating in future classroom discussions and give even further insight as we continue to evolve as a company.
As I have said before, NCR is a very different company today than it was even just a few short years ago. As the global leader in Consumer Transaction Technologies, NCR is having a tremendous impact on the way consumers interact and transact with business. I am extremely proud of how far we have come and excited about our future.
