For the past 18 years, NCR has been recognized as a Best Place to work for LGBTQ employees

It takes a united and diverse team – working together – to produce the best results. NCR’s commitment to diversity is integrated into our culture through our shared values and respect for our people: their courage, their innovation and their customer dedication.

This is why I had great pride when we found that we recently achieved a 100/100 – that’s a perfect score – on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index, earning NCR the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

As Christine Belknap, VP Talent Development, said recently, “Culture isn’t just a word. It’s the heartbeat of our organization. This recognition encourages me as a leader because it reminds me that we’re doing what we’ve set out to do, which is to cultivate an environment where employees are able to bring their full selves to work each day.”

We know our people are our most important asset and we know that ALL employees need to feel supported to bring the best they have to offer to their work, to their teams and to our customers.

The Corporate Equality Index is a report published by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation providing an in-depth analysis and rating of large U.S. employers and their policies, practices and treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees. The 2019 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender and queer people. The HRC represents a force of more than 3 million members and supporters nationwide who envision a world where LGBTQ people are ensured of their basic equal rights, and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in the community.

NCR has participated in the survey since 2002 and we have consistently been recognized as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ employees for the past 18 years. Beginning in 2012, the survey changed and as a result we responded by updating our benefit structure to include healthcare and corporate policies for Transgender employees.

“NCR’s history, story and success is written by our people. I believe the only way iNCRedible things happen is with a foundation of respect and teamwork. Being recognized for the 18th year in a row solidifies our commitment to coming together, supporting one another and authoring of our next great chapter in this iconic brand’s history,” - Marija Zivanovic-Smith, Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Communications and Chief External Affairs Officer and Executive Sponsor for NCR’s LBGTQ+ Business Resource Group.

We’ll always be evolving, growing and transforming as an organization, but one thing will always remain the same – how we treat our people. And our customers fully benefit as a result.

I’m very proud of what NCR stands for, how we embody our shared values in everything we do, and how our employees come to work each day knowing they can give their all and be themselves. This recognition is for each and every employee, all 30k+ around the world, that make us iNCRedible.

Now that’s what we call #NCRLife
