As WSB-TV, an ABC affiliate in Atlanta reports, on March 25, Krispy Kreme sent out a press release saying that, during this difficult time, their goal is to spread joy.
“Taking care of ourselves and each other never has been more important. Getting through this together by staying apart seems unnatural. But even now...there can be joy. It can bring and keep us ‘together’ in this challenging, disruptive time.”
So, beginning Monday, March 30, any health care worker is encouraged to visit their local Krispy Kreme drive-thru and simply show a badge to receive up to five dozen donuts to share with their co-workers.
To push their joyful message even further, each dozen contains one donut in the middle with a smiley face on it. They call it their “Be Sweet Dozen.”
