The European Union Directive on the Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) limits the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in electrical and electronic equipment placed on the European Community market.
Prior to July 1, 2006, the effective date of the EU RoHS Directive, NCR VOYIX implemented comprehensive due diligence, order control, and parts management processes to ensure initial and ongoing compliance. As a result, NCR is fully compliant with the EU RoHS Directive and similar legislation in other regions, such as China and the state of California.
