NCR Accessibility Consulting Services

Why should you care about accessibility?

  • Accessible products and services increase your market.
  • Governments require accessibility.
  • Accessibility improves the experience of non-disabled users and persons with disabilities.

How can NCR help?
NCR can help you provide products and services that are usable by all. We can:

  • Design hardware, software, and Web sites that you are developing.
  • Evaluate the accessibility of products you are considering for purchase.
  • Assess ease of access to your products and services in their environment of use.
  • Educate your designers and purchasing agents about government accessibility regulations and criteria for accessible products and services.

Why NCR?
Our consultants have a successful track record in working with government organizations and the private sector on accessible products and services, both inside and outside of retail. For example, we designed NCR’s FastLane self-checkout for use by wheelchair-bound shoppers. Our team designed a museum exhibit kiosk that enabled blind, deaf, manually- and mobility-impaired individuals to interact with and learn from the exhibit. We have consulted on the design of accessible electronic voting kiosks. Most of our consultants have advanced degrees in areas related to accessible design, including psychology and industrial engineering, and all have years of relevant experience, including customer education as well as design.
