The NCR Advanced Post Central Management System (CMS) components include the central management server, and Advanced Post Central application modules such as Hierarchical Enterprise Inventory Management and Broadcast Messaging, among others.
With NCR Advanced Post CMS, postal entities can create HTML based messages, with graphics and attachments for distribution to sites, users, and roles. The message composer allows the author set the locations, roles, and/or employee names to broadcast the message to. The author can also create a custom distribution list for messages. In addition, the composer allows an author to select the message template to use, message content (including attachments), priority, and start and expiration dates for messages. All Advanced Post screens include a message status icon to notify users that a message is available, as well as the number and urgency of messages. Employees are able to access their messages via a web-based interface, which can be accessed on standard PCs and other platforms in addition to traditional POS systems.
NCR Advanced Post CMS supports best-in-class Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics solutions to provide postal entities with a near real-time view of the enterprise, including extensive reporting functionality and rich role-based graphical dashboards. Advanced Post CMS also supports industry leading Systems and Operational Management solutions that allow postal entities to manage the retail enterprise from a single console, and providing a rich, flexible means of deploying system updates and changes.
The Advanced Post Hierarchical Inventory module allows for the management of inventory across the enterprise, to region, district and site. Site to site and clerk to clerk transfers are supported, and the module includes reporting functionality. The system provides acknowledgement verification upon transfer of inventory, the capability to query inventory throughout the hierarchy, and automated messaging for events such as low-level alerts and inventory transfer confirmations. In addition, the system supports both serialized and non-serialized inventory.
