RIS Roadmap Series: Successfully deploying a cross-channel POS solution

 

Today, it’s the non-linear shopping patterns of omni-channel consumers that are having the biggest impact on retailer’s POS choices. While 95% of retail purchase activity still takes place in the store environment, the POS must now serve as the in-store hub for an expanding array of multi-channel activities.  

Not only, do customers expect a seamless shopping experience in any channel they use,  the newest challenge is that consumers’ shopping processes increasingly involve multiple channels, from traditional (stores and websites) to new and emerging (mobile commerce and social media).
