A safe and compliant ATM disposal service

NCR’s ATM Disposal Service is a cost-effective, secure and environmentally responsible answer to the problem of ATM disposal. It’s available to any customer upgrading to new NCR ATMs, with all NCR and third-party ATMs eligible for trade-in. As part of this ATM support service, the old ATM is uninstalled and its title transferred to NCR before quality-certified specialists dismantle, separate and recycle its components in line with international legislation.

• Full regulatory compliance
  NCR’s ATM Disposal Service conforms to the strictest local and international standards for atm management - responsible recycling and the safe disposal of hazardous materials. This NCR complies with the E.U.’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC that requires manufacturers to take back products manufactured after 13th August 2005 and recycle the component materials. In fact, NCR willingly exceeds the directive and takes back products manufactured prior to this date.

  NCR’s ATM Disposal Service uses quality-certified NCR authorised specialists to extract reusable materials from decommissioned ATMs, minimising the need for landfill disposal. As well as defining industry best practices, data gathered during this phase is used by NCR to design future generations of ATMs that include even greater quantities of recyclable materials.
