As self-service technology of all kinds has increasingly become an everyday part of people’s lives, Hospitality Technology has tracked its growth and its changing impact on the foodservice and lodging industries. HT surveys both its subscribers and a representative sample of U.S. consumers to reveal their experiences with and attitudes toward self-service technology. This annual study identifies hotel and restaurant operators’ key drivers toward installing kiosks, as well as the concerns and challenges that they see with the technology. This year’s study shows that, as would be expected of an increasingly tech-savvy society, consumers are comfortable with self-service technology, and are more than willing to make use of it in lodging and restaurant environments.
