Consignment of inventory begins with acceptance of designated spares, which are added to NCR’s global inventory management system. The spares are then assigned to a central/local stocking location based on business criteria defined by the customer. As parts are used locally, central stocking provides replacements and returns faulty spares for replenishment. Customers can manage their consigned inventory through NCR @ YourService, a web portal service that provides tracking/usage information for consigned spares.
