Jefferson Health System Signs Enterprise Agreement with Galvanon to Automate Patient Registration
February 12, 2007
MAITLAND, Fla. – Galvanon, an NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) company, today announced that Jefferson Health System, Inc. (JHS), the largest health-care system in Southeastern Pennsylvania, has signed an enterprise agreement to license Galvanon’s patient self-service technology.
Main Line Health will be the first JHS member to begin implementation of Galvanon’s MediKiosk throughout its facilities. Main Line Health’s locations include Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, Lankenau Hospital and Paoli Hospital, as well as several regional outpatient facilities. Other Jefferson entities will begin their deployment of MediKiosk following the Main Line Health rollout.
Galvanon’s MediKiosk is part of a comprehensive suite of products that allows hospitals and clinics to provide patient self-service capabilities. When patients arrive for an appointment, they can enter identifying information directly at the kiosk, to begin the check-in process. The kiosk engages the patient to view and confirm appointment details displayed on the screen, electronically sign consent forms, enter certain medical information or make copayments.
“We are extremely pleased to have Jefferson Health System join our growing list of clients that are implementing our self-service solutions enterprise-wide,” said Raj Toleti, president of Galvanon. “With its selection of MediKiosk, JHS joins other leading health-care organizations across the country that utilize self-service technology to benefit patients and staff alike.”
